RII30920 - CERTIFICATE III IN CIVIL CONSTRUCTION (PIPE LAYING)

 

Job summary:

This qualification reflects the role of a skilled operator working in pipe laying in the civil construction industry, who applies a broad range of skills in a varied work context, using some discretion and judgement and relevant theoretical knowledge. The individual may provide theoretical advice and support a team.

Participants:

The target participants for this course are people that are currently working in the civil construction industry and wish to upgrade their skills, formalise their workplace experience, or develop competency across the full qualification.

Entry Requirements:

There are no prerequisite requirements to enter this program. Employment in a role where competency development is able to be supported is required to support the delivery and successful completion of this program. Other entry requirements may apply for participants proposing to use the Queensland Department of Employment, Small Business and Training’s User Choice traineeship program.

Delivery:

Delivery will be face to face with competency development in conjunction with your employer at the worksite.  One on one support is provided to all participants.

Duration:

The course will be delivered over approximately 1 – 3 years in time frames and at times of the day, as is suitable for the participant and their employer.

Recognition of Prior Learning:

Recognition of prior learning is offered to all prospective participants.

Subjects (Units of competency):

Training Plans and subject selection will be agreed between participant, employer and training organisation.

Fees and Funding:

This program is available with the following fees options;

Fee for service: Available to all participants; fees quoted directly and may be paid by or for the participant.
Traineeship –  User Choice: Available to eligible participants. Participant contribution  will normally be required.  Current student co-contribution fees and eligible exemption categories are available here

Nominal hours for this qualification will be dependent upon the units of competency undertaken.  Units delivered, qualification packaging  and nominal hours associated with Onsite Training Solutions delivery are available here.

Qualification nominal hours for units delivered range from 658 - 738 hours which requires a student co-contribution of $1052.80 -  $1180.90 (at full student co-contribution rate).
